Can I sue for mismanagement of assets in a trust?

The beneficiary of a trust can, in fact, sue for mismanagement of the assets of the trust. If the trust is relying upon the terms of the trust, this may indemnify the trustee from liability. An exception to this would be if the trustee’s actions demonstrate gross negligence or intentional violation of the terms of the trust.
